What this app is: YT Poster is a private, internal tool built and operated by Lead Continuity LLC. It publishes video content that we produce ourselves to a YouTube channel that we own and control. It is used only by our own staff — there is no public sign-up, and it does not access, read, or collect data belonging to any other person.

App Identity

What the Application Does

Lead Continuity LLC produces long-form educational video essays on finance and economics for a YouTube channel that we own. YT Poster is the final step of that production process: it takes a finished video file that already exists on our own server and uploads it to our own YouTube channel, so that a person does not have to perform the upload by hand.

The full production process runs in this order:

  1. Research input. Our editorial team assembles source notes and reference material on the week's finance and macroeconomics topics.
  2. Script generation. A written long-form script is drafted from that material and reviewed internally.
  3. Narration. The script is converted to spoken audio using a text-to-speech engine.
  4. Visuals. Supporting still images are generated to accompany the narration.
  5. Assembly. The audio and visuals are combined into a single finished MP4 video file using FFmpeg.
  6. Publishing (this app). YT Poster authenticates to the YouTube Data API and uploads that finished MP4 to our own YouTube channel, along with its title, description, tags, and category.

Steps 1 through 5 involve no Google user data of any kind. Only step 6 — the upload itself — uses Google authentication, and that is the only reason this application requests access.

Google Data We Request, and Why

We request one single OAuth scope, and we request it for one single purpose. We do not request any scope that we do not directly need.

🎯 Why We Need It

  • To insert a finished video file into our own YouTube channel via the YouTube Data API.
  • To set that video's title, description, tags, and category at the moment of upload.
  • To mark the video's privacy status and required content disclosures.

Without this scope, the upload step cannot be automated and must be done manually.

✅ What the App Does With Access

  • Uploads video files that we created ourselves.
  • Writes the accompanying video metadata described above.
  • Acts only on the single YouTube channel owned by Lead Continuity LLC.

🚫 What the App Never Does

  • It does not read, download, or analyse any other user's videos or channel.
  • It does not access viewer, subscriber, comment, or audience data.
  • It does not read Gmail, Drive, Contacts, Calendar, or any other Google service.
  • It does not delete or modify pre-existing videos.
  • It does not sell, rent, or transfer Google user data to anyone.
  • It does not use Google user data for advertising or profiling.

Who Uses This Application

YT Poster is not offered to the public. There is no registration form, no user accounts, and no way for a third party to connect their own Google account to it. The only account that ever authorises this application is the Google account belonging to Lead Continuity LLC that owns the destination YouTube channel. In practice the application has exactly one user: us.

How Authorisation and Credentials Are Handled

  • Authorisation happens once, through Google's standard OAuth 2.0 consent flow, performed by our own staff.
  • The resulting credentials are stored in a private environment configuration file on our own server, readable only by the operating system account that runs the tool.
  • Credentials are never committed to source control, never embedded in this website, and never shared with third parties.
  • The application runs server-side on infrastructure we control. It is not distributed to end users.
  • Access can be revoked by us at any time from the Google Account permissions page, which immediately stops all further uploads.

Content Disclosure

Portions of our video production process are machine-assisted, including the synthesised narration audio and the generated still images. Where this is the case, YT Poster sets YouTube's synthetic-content disclosure flag on the uploaded video so that viewers are informed in line with YouTube's own disclosure requirements. Uploads are also declared as not made for children.

Data Retention

The application does not build or maintain a database of Google user data. It holds only the OAuth credential needed to perform uploads, plus a local production record of what was uploaded and when — video title, upload timestamp, and the resulting video identifier. It retains no personal information about any third party, because it never receives any.

Limited Use Commitment

Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to theGoogle API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use the access granted to this application solely to publish our own video content to our own YouTube channel, as described on this page.
